A sorpresa, la band di Long Island, New York, ha fatto uscire il suo undicesimo album, annunciando che sarà l'ultimo, e che la band, terminati gli impegni dal vivo, si scioglierà alla fine del 2025. Come sicuramente non ricorderete, li ho conosciuti con colpevole ritardo (rece del disco precedente), ma a questo punto trovo che non potessero lasciare "testamento" migliore: un disco che esalta le loro caratteristiche portanti, post hardcore, rap metal, echi dei migliori Rage Against the Machine, il tutto ad altissimi livelli di tecnica, dinamica, ispirazione, composizione, robustezza, aggressività. Un disco che faccio fatica a non riascoltare. Grazie.
Surprisingly, the band from Long Island, New York, has released their eleventh album, announcing that it will be their last, and that the band, having finished their live engagements, will split up at the end of 2025. As you surely don't remember, I got to know them with guilty delay (review of the previous album), but at this point I think they couldn't have left a better "testament": an album that highlights their main characteristics, post hardcore, rap metal, echoes of the best Rage Against the Machine, all at very high levels of technique, dynamics, inspiration, composition, strength, aggression. An album that I struggle not to listen to again. Thanks.
