Al quarto album, la band inglese è sulla bocca di tutti quelli che ascoltano un certo genere di musica, vagamente pesante. E' sorta anche una specie di polemica, tra quelli che li accusano di non entrarci niente con il metal, e quelli che li "difendono". Classico argomento di lana caprina, o da clickbait, lo cito semplicemente per mettervi al corrente. Il succo, alla fine, è però questo: al quarto lavoro, il mix di genere della band in questione non rappresenta più una sorpresa o una novità, questo è giusto dirlo, ma l'ascolto è assolutamente una delizia. A tratti sembra che il miglior Craig David, quello di Born to Do It, sia diventato metal, e lo dico in senso totalmente positivo. Non sarà il disco dell'anno, ma che goduria.
With their fourth album, the English band is the talk of the town for those who listen to a certain kind of music, vaguely heavy. A sort of controversy has also arisen, between those who accuse them of having nothing to do with metal, and those who "defend" them. A classic hair-splitting or clickbait argument, I'm just mentioning it to let you know. The bottom line, however, is this: with their fourth album, the band's genre mix is no longer a surprise or a novelty, that's fair to say, but listening to it is absolutely a delight. At times it seems like the best Craig David, the one from Born to Do It, has gone metal, and I mean that in a totally positive sense. It won't be the album of the year, but what a treat.
