La nuova "incarnazione" di Antony Hegarty è Anohni. Sotto questo nome, "debutta" con un album che riflette il suo percorso verso un pop elettronico, ma con fortissime venature sinfoniche. Coadiuvata nella scrittura e nella produzione da Hudson Mohawke (Ross Birchard) e da Oneohtrix Point Never (Daniel Lopatin), ci regala un disco che segna un nuovo punto di svolta, e sdogana l'elettronica anche presso chi predilige atmosfere più raccolte e acustiche, come quelle dei precedenti lavori degli Antony and the Johnsons. Pezzi contrassegnati da liriche fortemente attuali, che trattano la guerra, le violenze sulle donne e sui minori, il surriscaldamento globale e cose così, senza dubbio non leggere. Un plus, per una voce che potrebbe incantare anche leggendo l'elenco telefonico.
Pezzi che non lasciano indifferenti, grande performance, un disco che invita a riconsiderare l'elettronica e l'uso che se ne può fare.

Assisted in the writing and production by Hudson Mohawke (Ross Birchard) and Oneohtrix Point Never (Daniel Lopatin), gives us an album that marks a new turning point, that could also break boundaries, and bring toward electronic the ones who prefer more intimate and acoustic atmospheres, like those of the previous works of Antony and the Johnsons. Pieces marked with highly current lyrics, which deal with the war, the violence against women and children, global warming and stuff like this, no doubt, not so light. A plus, for a voice that could enchant even reading the telephone directory.
