Boo Hoo Hoo - No Sinner (2014)

Nell'attesa di riuscire a trovare il nuovo disco Old Habits Die Hard, della band canadese No SInner, ben recensito da qualche parte, saputo che il debutto era uscito nel 2014, sono andato intanto ad ascoltarmi questo Boo Hoo Hoo. In realtà era uscito nel 2012 con sei pezzi, poi ri-edito con altri tre pezzi, appunto, nel 2014. Bene, la band nasce come back-up band di Colleen Rennison, canadese di Vancouver, 28enne anche attrice, poi diventa una vera band con altri tre componenti fissi. La farò molto breve: a livello musicale, siamo sul semplicissimo, ma sempre ben accetto, blues rock, fatto benissimo, pezzi accattivanti e dall'ottimo tiro. A livello vocale, la Rennison vi stupirà. Ho sentito, nel suo timbro e nel suo stile, solo per rimanere su esempi "recenti", sfumature di Joss Stone ma pure di Amy Winehouse. Capirete che il tutto acquista un valore superiore. Curioso.
