Ephorize - Cupcakke (2018)

Ottimo.

The childhood of Elizabeth Eden Harris aka Cupcakke, looks like that of a character of Shameless US version: raised by a single mother in Chicago, has used, from 7 to 11 years, various homeless shelters. She began to take an interest in poetry at the age of 10, following her involvement in the local church, and was very much in demand to recite poetry about her Christianity and faith, from local pastors (very strident compared to what she sings now). Around the age of 13, she was introduced to the rap by a church visitor and was fascinated by it. Since 2012 she starts composing and posting tracks and videos on YouTube, and she is very successful. She is not afraid to talk about sex explicitly, how much she likes it, how many cocks she sucks and other "lightness" of this kind, but also proudly against any kind of violence, especially sexual, and supportive toward the LGBT community.
A couple of mixtapes when she was still very young, then from 2016 one record per year, up to this third Ephorize, just released. An enviable flow, rough and funny lyrics, incredible security at 20, but often a hard childhood gives these results. Great.
