Incuriosito da una recensione su una rivista estera, mi sono posto all'ascolto di questo disco. Romare è lo pseudonimo di Archie Fairhurst, produttore londinese, e il genere non è propriamente quello che "maneggio" solitamente. Eppure, c'è voglia di sperimentazione, in tutto questo lavoro, secondo full length dopo il debutto con Projections (2015), e che, idealmente, segue il suo EP del 2014 Love Songs: Part One. E' una dance elettronica strana, invasa di influenze quali jazz, blues, R&B, funk, campionamenti, discomusic anni '80, che ricorda tutto e niente. Personalmente, l'ho trovato un po' confusionario e stordente, ma c'è chi gli ha dato 4/5. Curioso.
Intrigued by a review on a foreign magazine, I set myself to listening to this record. Romare is the pseudonym of Archie Fairhurst, London-based producer, and the genre is not exactly what I usually handle. Yet, there is a desire for experimentation, in all this work, the second full length after the debut with "Projections" (2015), and that, ideally, follows his 2014 EP "Love Songs: Part One". It is made from a strange electronic dance, invaded by influences such as jazz, blues, R & B, funk, sampling, '80s discomusic, who remembers everything and nothing. Personally, I found it a bit confusing and dizzying, but somebody gave him 4/5. Curious, this is for sure.
