Ne avevamo parlato poco tempo fa, andando a riprendere il suo debutto del 2014 VII, ed eccoci qua col nuovo disco K.T.S.E. (Keep That Same Energy), il quinto prodotto da Kanye West nelle sue Wyoming Sessions. Album molto breve (8 pezzi, ma neppure 23 minuti: potremmo aprire un dibattito sulla classificazione tra EP e full length, ma intuirete da soli che si tratta sia di durata che di numero di tracce), pare, così dice l'interessata, a causa dell'esclusione di alcune tracce dovuta al "sample clearance issue", chiarimenti legali sulla possibilità dell'uso di alcune campionature. Questo chiarimento potrebbe portare all'uscita di una versione riveduta e corretta dello stesso disco. Superata la parte noiosa, veniamo al disco: a mio giudizio, giudizio ovviamente offuscato dall'avvenenza della 27enne di Harlem, New York, siamo davanti ad una promettente artista RNB, che potrebbe rinverdire i fasti di Miss Lauryn Hill, una delle influenze più forti. Il disco è vario e naturalmente prodotto in maniera fighissima, le tracce sono poche ma spaziano a 360 gradi e mostrano un talento vero. West appare anche prestando la sua voce su Hurry, e ci sono altri featuring quali Ty Dolla Sign e Mykki Blanco, oltre a molte collaborazioni a livello di composizione e di produzione.

The album is various and, obviously, produced in a very cool way, the tracks are few but range to 360 degrees and show a true talent. West also appears by lending his voice to Hurry, and there are others featuring as Ty Dolla Sign and Mykki Blanco, as well as many collaborations in terms of composition and production.
