Le note di cronaca spicciola dovrebbero farvi notare che H3+, oltre che rappresentare, come ho tentato di riassumere nel titolo, lo ione triatomico dell'idrogeno (particella alla base dell'Universo, diffusa negli spazi tra una stella e l'altra, ecc. ecc.), è la terza parte di una sorta di trilogia composta dai precedenti Hermann e Earth Hotel, trilogia che rappresenta un viaggio alla ricerca dell'essenza umana, tra spazio e tempo.
A parte i ringraziamenti che andrebbero indirizzati all'artista milanese, per averci saputo regalare anni e anni di pop d'autore, lontano anni luce dallo stereotipo della canzonetta italiana sole/cuore/amore, rileggendo anche le mie antiche recensioni, unendole all'imbarazzo di fronte al quale mi trovo adesso, nell'atto di scrivere qualcosa in proposito a questo ennesimo e nuovissimo lavoro, mi rendo conto che dovrò ripetermi.
La bellezza delle composizioni di Benvegnù è innegabile, e se vivessimo in un mondo ideale, avrebbero un successo planetario a prescindere dalla lingua del cantato. L'influenza musicale di un certo tipo di post new wave è filtrata dal cantautorato italiano di quello buono, e i testi lasciano ogni volta a bocca aperta, così come la raffinatezza degli arrangiamenti.
L'ennesimo disco dalla bellezza abbacinante, che riscuoterà piogge di elogi dalla critica ma che sarà ascoltato sempre da poche persone, rispetto al bacino che davvero meriterebbe. Paolo Benvegnù è dunque, un eroe musicale dei nostri tempi. Giù il cappello.

The beauty of the Benvegnù's compositions is undeniable, and if we lived in an ideal world, they would have a global success regardless of the language of the sung. The musical influence of some type of post-new wave is filtered by the good Italian songwriting, and the lyrics leave whenever with mouth open, as well as the sophisticated arrangements.
Yet another album with dazzling beauty, which will collect rain of praise by critics but which will always be heard from a few people, compared to the basin that really deserves. Paolo Benvegnù is, therefore, a musical hero of our times. Hats off.
