Nonostante spesso abbia timore di ripetermi, scorrendo la ricerca sul blog, mi sono reso conto di non avervi mai parlato né di Edda (Stefano Rampoldi), né dei Ritmo Tribale (solo un accenno in occasione dell'uscita dei Noguru), la band che lo fece conoscere a noi vecchietti che frequentavamo il mondo rock italiano. Dopo essere uscito dalla band, che continuò per un po' senza di lui, in maniera c'è da dire egregia, ed essere passato per crisi mistiche e una riabilitazione, è tornato attorno al 2008 come solista. Ha fatto uscire Semper Biot nel 2009, In orbita (EP live nel 2010, dove - mi ero completamente dimenticato - coverizzava uno dei pezzi più belli di Moltheni, Suprema, cosa che mi ha fatto fare più caso alle similitudini tra i due), Odio i vivi (2012), e Stavolta come mi ammazzerai? nel 2014. Da poco più di un mese, ecco anche questo Graziosa utopia, un disco che conferma Edda come una delle realtà più strane ma interessanti del panorama rock italiano.
Testi apparentemente insensati, ma al contrario, decisamente da seguire ed interpretare, tra l'altro molto divertenti, canzoni tutte diverse tra di loro, che rivelano influenze disparate, e sperimentazioni intriganti, segno evidente di non volersi fossilizzare su uno stile. Comprendo che, ad un primo impatto, la voce di Edda possa risultare molto strana, a volte troppo stridula e spesso difficilmente comprensibile, a causa di un rotacismo davvero esagerato, ma vi assicuro che se non lo avete mai sentito, e riuscite a superare questo primo impatto, vi potrà regalare emozioni e divertimento.

From just over a month, behold, also this "Graziosa utopia", an album that confirms Edda as one of the most strange but interesting thing of the Italian rock scene.
Seemingly nonsensical lyrics, but on the contrary, to follow and interpret, among other things very funny, songs all different from each other, revealing disparate influences, and intriguing experiments, a clear sign of not wanting to fossilize on a style. I understand that, at first sight, the voice of Edda will be very strange, sometimes too shrill and often difficult to understand, because of a really exaggerated rhotacism, but I assure you that if you have never heard his voice and his music, and you will be able to managed to overcome this first glance, he can give you emotions and fun.
