The Coyote Who Spoke In Tongues - John Garcia (2017)

John Garcia is one of those musicians who, in my opinion, have never had the recognition they deserved. However, music is his life, and since 1989 continues uninterruptedly to churn out discs, forming bands, coming and going from them, but above all, writing great songs. After debuting in his name, in 2014, this time John decides to release a completely acoustic record, and to place in the lineup a few songs already published, rearranged in a key that I venture to define southern blues. The result is amazing and beautiful. The new tracks are more than appreciable (Kylie, Give Me 250 ML - even in the live version - The Hollingsworth Session, Argleben II - following Argleben already in the debut of 2014 - and the instrumental Court Order), after which we find acoustic versions with a new arrangement of tracks of Kyuss like Green Machine, Space Cadet, Gardenia and El Rodeo (high moments, believe me, in this form the pieces are equally beautiful), and a live version (excellent) of The Blvd, from the previous album of the same name. Although Garcia has also made some progress as a guitarist, there are also other musicians: Ehren Groban (acoustic guitar), Greg Saenz (percussion), Mike Pygmie (bass). All to be enjoyed.
