Piccolo passo indietro verso gli ultimi mesi del 2017 per parlarvi di questo terzo disco della band proveniente da Los Angeles, California, e formata da Henry Flury alla chitarra, Jason Klein al basso, Chase Brickenden alla batteria, ma soprattutto, Heidi Shepherd e Carla Harvey alle voci, clean e scream. Le due ragazze, piuttosto carine, sono decisamente il simbolo di un cambiamento epocale in un genere piuttosto machista. Soprattutto Carla, ha un curriculum notevole: attrice erotica, scrittrice (romanzi e comics), laureata in scienze mortuarie (è direttore funebre e imbalsamatrice). Le loro voci sono abbastanza simili, ma sembra che i loro live shows siano intensi, e che le due ragazze "assaltino" gli spettatori. La musica è ispirata al groove metal dai Pantera in avanti, con richiami a Marilyn Manson e a Rob Zombie (anche cinematograficamente), ma le ragazze si ispirano molto a Wendy O. Williams dei Plasmatics (il nome della band si ispira a Butcher Baby, appunto dei Plasmatics, e nei primi live il loro non-abbigliamento era molto ispirato a Wendy). Molta melodia comunque, nei loro pezzi, e la tecnica, sia vocale che strumentale, non è per niente scarsa.
Little step back in the last months of 2017 to tell you about this third album of the band coming from Los Angeles, California, and formed by Henry Flury on guitar, Jason Klein on bass, Chase Brickenden on drums, but above all, Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey to the voices, clean and scream. The two pretty girls are definitely the symbol of an epochal change in a rather macho genre. Above all Carla, has a remarkable curriculum: erotic actress, writer (novels and comics), she has a degree in mortuary science (she is a licensed funeral director and embalmer). Their voices are quite similar, but it seems that their live shows are intense, and that the two girls "assault" the audience. The music is inspired by the groove metal from the Pantera and beyond, with references to Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie (also cinematographically), but the girls are very inspired by Wendy O. Williams of Plasmatics (the name of the band is inspired by Butcher Baby, a Plasmatics song, and their first live shows non-clothing was very much inspired by Wendy). A lot of melody, however, in their tracks, and the technique, both vocal and instrumental, is not poor at all.
