Si può decidere che un disco è bello dopo appena due canzoni e mezzo? Non so voi, ma di solito con gli Spidergawd a me succede così. Li do talmente per scontati che, come l'amico Monty ha correttamente notato qualche settimana fa, mi sono dimenticato di inserire il loro III, il disco precedente a questo, nella mia top ten del 2016. Ma la verità è che anche a questo giro, a metà di LouCille, ero già in estasi. Dei norvegesi ormai si conosce tutto, la struttura delle loro canzoni, cosa verrà dopo quella strofa, come sarà quel bridge, che ad un certo punto del disco, preferibilmente nella seconda metà, ci sarà un pezzo lungo e dilatato (ovviamente, anche stavolta: What Must Come to Pass), ma il fatto è che, sciolti gli Hellacopters, non c'è nessuno, in questo momento, che riesca a suonare rock and roll come gli Spidergawd, e poco importa se spesso i riff sanno di già sentito: Spidergawd IV è l'ennesimo disco che spacca. Suonatelo forte!
You may decide that an album is nice after just after two songs and a half? I do not know about you, but usually with Spidergawd, this happens to me. I give them so much for granted that, as my pal Monty has correctly noted a few weeks ago, I forgot to enter their "III", the previous record to this, in my Top Ten of 2016. But the truth is that even at this round, at the half of "LouCille", I was ecstatic. Norwegians of whom now you know everything, included the structure of their songs, what comes after that verse, how will be that bridge, that at some point on the album, preferably in the second half, there will be one long and dilated track (of course, once again: "What Must Come to Pass"), but the fact is that, disbanded the Hellacopters, there is no one, at this time, that is able to play rock and roll as the Spidergawd, and no matter if often, those riffs seemed already heard: "Spidergawd IV" is yet another album that rocks hard. Play it loud!
