Sesto disco dei Ministri, che apre il solito "dibattito": si sono rammolliti oppure no? Bene, sfuggirò a questo trappolone, e mi baserò su un concetto letto in una loro intervista: i Ministri sono una band fuori moda, perché a loro piace l'analogico. Anche se usano le tastiere (dosatissime), non disdegnano le ballate (o presunte tali), e si ispirano ai grandi del rock, quasi tutti mainstream. Quindi, anche se ci ricordiamo tutti l'attitudine vagamente grunge che ci facevano venire in mente ai loro inizi, dobbiamo metterci in testa che a Davide, Federico e Michele, piace la melodia. E che, così come si ispirano ai Rage Against the Machine, si ispirano anche ai Queen. Quindi, non vi stupite se nella prima parte del disco vi sembrerà di ascoltare un disco punk, mentre nella seconda parte vi convincerete di star ascoltando delle outtakes di Max Pezzali. I ragazzi sono cresciuti, sono degli adulti, parlano, con il loro modo sospeso tra il nonsense e il serissimo, di cose che dieci anni fa probabilmente non avrebbero affrontato: erano ancora molto arrabbiati. Ascolterete questo disco, ripenserete a Tempi bui, ma pian piano vi accorgerete che pure su questo Fidatevi ci sono alcune grandi canzoni.
Sixth album for the Ministri, which opens the usual "debate": are they softened or not? Well, I will escape this trap, and I will rely on a concept read in one interview to them: the Ministri are an outmoded band, because they like the analog. Even if they use keyboards (very rarely), they do not disdain ballads (or supposed), and they are inspired by the great rock bands, almost all mainstream. So, even if we all remember the vaguely grunge attitude that made us think of their beginnings, we must put in our heads that to Davide, Federico and Michele, they like the melody. And that, as they are inspired by the Rage Against the Machine, they are also inspired by the Queen. So, do not be surprised if in the first part of the album you will feel like listening to a punk record, while in the second part you will be convinced that you are listening to some Max Pezzali outtakes. The boys are grown up, they are adults, they speak, with their way suspended between the nonsense and the very serious, of things that ten years ago probably would not have faced: they were still very angry. You will listen to this record, you will think back to Tempi Bui, but little by little you will find that on this Fidatevi, there are some great songs too.
