All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell - PVRIS (2017)

Sono arrivato ai PVRIS (Paris, cambiato per motivi legali) tramite un featuring della cantante Lynn Gunn (Lyndsey Gunnulfsen) su un brano dei Tonight Alive. La band si è formata a Lowell, Massachusetts, come combo metalcore, mutando stile al momento di cominciare a registrare il loro debutto del 2014 White Noise. Le radici si apprezzano in maniera vaga, e il contributo electropop è decisivo. Il disco è molto piacevole e orecchiabile, e Lynn, che suona anche le tastiere e la chitarra ritmica, ha una voce estesa e potente che vi ricorderà senza dubbio quella di Sia: non per niente, la band nel 2015 ha inciso una cover di Chandelier, inclusa in una compilation.



I arrived at the PVRIS (Paris, changed for legal reasons) through a featuring the singer Lynn Gunn (Lyndsey Gunnulfsen) on a song by Tonight Alive. The band was formed in Lowell, Massachusetts, as a metalcore combo, changing style when it began to record their 2014 White Noise debut. The roots are vaguely appreciated, and the electropop contribution is decisive. The record is very enjoyable and catchy, and Lynn, who also plays keyboards and rhythm guitar, has an extensive and powerful voice that will no doubt remind you of Sia: not for nothing, the band in 2015 has recorded a cover of Chandelier, included in a compilation.
