Preso al volo il suggerimento dell'amico Monty, eccomi alla ricerca del metal perduto ed al mio primo approccio con gli svedesi Bloodbath (ma questo è il loro quinto disco), cosiddetto supergruppo svedese che, già con l'album precedente, ha inglobato anche un inglese, e non uno qualsiasi, bensì il mitico Nick Holmes dei Paradise Lost. In precedenza, il microfono principale era appartenuto a Mikael Akerfeldt degli Opeth, con una parentesi per Peter Tagtgren degli Hypocrisy. Già che ci siamo, gli altri membri attuali sono Anders Nystrom (Katatonia), chitarra, Jonas Renkse (Katatonia, October Tide), basso, Martin Axenrot (Opeth, Witchery), batteria, Joakim Karlsson (Craft), chitarra. Detto tutto questo: e la musica? Death metal che potremmo definire "di maniera", ma naturalmente fatto ottimamente e che può arrecare sollievo ad orecchie bisognose di chitarre deraglianti e riff slayeriani (se vogliamo parlare dell'inizio di Wayward Samaritan...).
