Undicesimo studio album per la band svedese di Helsinborg, band che io fino ad oggi non avevo mai ascoltato. Gli svedesi sono esponenti del sottogenere che viene identificato come melodic death metal, e le coordinate sono del tutto rispettate: enorme influenza del classico heavy metal della NWOBHM, uso moderato della doppia cassa, cantato che alterna harsh screaming a voce pulita e melodica, assoli di chitarra interessanti, ampio spazio alle melodie perfino stucchevoli ma pure ai raddoppi di tempo in stile thrash metal. Disco che si fa ascoltare, se non vi dispiace il genere, perfino in auto, e pure ad un certo volume, se capite cosa voglio dire.
Eleventh studio album for the Swedish band from Helsinborg, a band that I had never heard before. The Swedes are exponents of the subgenre that is identified as melodic death metal, and the coordinates are completely respected: huge influence of the classic heavy metal NWOBHM-style, moderate use of the blast beat, sung that alternates harsh screaming with a clean and melodic voice, interesting guitar solos, ample space for even cloying melodies but also for the thrash metal style escapes. Album that let itself listen to, if you do not mind the genre, even in the car, and even at a certain volume, if you understand what I mean.
