Eccoci ad una recensione (sempre, ricordatevi, col prefisso "pseudo", non sono mai stato, e non lo sarò mai, un giornalista, tanto meno musicale) piuttosto difficile. Yves Tumor pare essere l'alias musicale di tale Sean Bowie (qualcuno mette in dubbio che sia il suo vero nome, e che tutto quello che racconta nelle interviste sia vero), produttore statunitense nato a Miami, Florida. Alcune fonti sostengono che adesso risieda a Torino, Italia. Cresciuto a Knoxville, Tennessee, comincia a fare musica come ripicca verso l'ambiente circostante, che lui riteneva noioso e conservatore. Impara da autodidatta a suonare basso, chitarra, batteria e tastiere, a 20 anni si trasferisce a San Diego ed in seguito a Los Angeles per i suoi studi, e qui incontra e diventa amico di Mykki Blanco (personaggio che, come dire, sto "tenendo nel cassetto", per parlarvene appena possibile, e rimediare al peccato di non averlo fatto prima), col quale va in tour per due anni e mezzo. Si dice attratto da sempre dal pop, puro e semplice, ma c'è di più, molto di più: ascoltatelo solo se vi sentite attratti dalla sperimentazione spinta, se riuscite a sopportare Bjork e Arca. Il suo primo disco autoprodotto risale al 2015, When Man Fails You, poi nel 2016 esce Serpent Music per l'etichetta PAN, infine questo Safe in the Hands of Love nel settembre 2018, per la Warp (nel 2017 è uscito Experiencing the Deposit of Faith, una sua compilation), un disco che alterna tracce estremamente delicate e iper-melodiche a fughe elettroniche incredibilmente impegnative e quasi estenuanti. Solo per coraggiosi, ma sappiate che c'è del talento vero.

Yves Tumor seems to be the musical alias of that Sean Bowie (someone doubts that it's his real name, and that everything he tells in interviews is true), an American producer born in Miami, Florida. Some sources claim that he now resides in Turin, Italy. Raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, he begins to make music as revenge against to his surroundings, which he thought boring and conservative. He learns from self-taught to play bass, guitar, drums and keyboards, at the age of 20 he moves to San Diego and later to Los Angeles for his studies, and here he meets and becomes a friend of Mykki Blanco (a character who, as I say, I am " holding in the drawer ", to talk to you as soon as possible, and remedy the sin of not having done before), with whom he goes on tour for two and a half years. He is said always attracted by pop, pure and simple, but there is more, much more: listen to it only if you feel attracted by the extreme experimentation, if you can bear Bjork and Arca. His first self-produced album dates back to 2015, When Man Fails You, then in 2016 he released Serpent Music for the PAN label, finally this Safe in the Hands of Love in September 2018, for Warp (in 2017 he released Experiencing the Deposit of Faith, his compilations), a record that alternates extremely delicate and hyper-melodic tracks with incredibly demanding and almost exhausting electronic leap. Only for braves, but know that there is real talent, here.
