Il secondo film della regista francese, a mio giudizio, ha sicuramente buonissime intenzioni, prendendo spunto dalla vera storia di Clémentine Delait; film ben realizzato e pure ben recitato, tra l'altro. Le critiche che ha avuto, partite soprattutto da un'associazione di persone intersessuali, è quella di aver modificato fortemente la storia, rendendola molto più drammatica di quella vera (la vera Delait, da quanto sembra, si faceva vanto di questa sua diversità, rifiutò offerte importanti dal circo Barnum, e viveva la sua vita con serenità). Potete tranquillamente vedere il film, e poi tenere conto di questi elementi.
The French director's second film, in my opinion, certainly has very good intentions, drawing inspiration from the true story of Clémentine Delait; a well-made and well-acted film, by the way. The criticism it has received, especially from an association of intersex people, is that it has significantly altered the story, making it much more dramatic than the real story (the real Delait, it seems, prided herself on her diversity, turned down important offers from the Barnum Circus, and lived her life peacefully). Feel free to watch the film and then take these factors into account.
