No pain. The world is a wonderful whisper for those who can listen, if necessary in silence.

Amore selvaggio

Wild Love - Nina Winder-Lind (2026)

This debut from the young Swedish singer-songwriter is one of the most acclaimed releases around—one you’ll surely soon see topping lists in various specialist magazines. Let’s talk about it. There isn’t anything truly original in the music of this young Swedish singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist (who is based in Brighton, UK, and is also a member of New Eves). As you listen to the debut, you’ll spot a wide range of influences—from the Rolling Stones and the Beatles to a certain brand of alternative folk, plus dashes of punk. Her voice displays both self-assurance and confidence in her abilities, yet it also comes across as raucous (it reminded me of a slightly tipsy Basia Bulat, for instance)—in the best possible sense: aggressive yet sunny, and even theatrical on some tracks. The compositions are asymmetrical yet interesting, and the overall diversity is surprising—and impressive. In short, while listening didn't make me want to hail it as a miracle, I did try to understand the source of all this admiration; I’ve shared my take—now let me know yours.
