Dystopia - Megadeth (2016)

Unbelievable but true, the creature of Dave Mustaine arrives to the fifteenth studio album, three years from "Super Collider", and with a line up restored, needless to say, for the umpteenth time. Beside the unfading (although we no longer know if his voice is the result of his uvula or special devices in the studio) Mustaine and David Ellefson on bass, there are indeed Kiko Loureiro, the Brazilian axe hero from Angra, and Chris Adler, massif drummer from Lamb of God. So far, nothing new: the story of Mustaine and his Megadeth has us accustomed to triumphal entries of "personal" highly qualified, lasted as much as a cat on the highway. But, immediately, we can notice that the yield of these new entries, on this new Dystopia (since from the title, an album inspired by a "possible" science fiction), are absolutely good. If Adler ensures power and decision, Loureiro is comfortable with the technical mastery of Mustaine, it showcases even on the piano on "Poisonous Shadows", as well as engaging very interesting "duels" of axes with the "landlord".
Despite having recently read a review totally negative, the album does not mind at all, and I continue to support the theory already exposed here by me about the new Anthrax, agreeing on the subject, as well as on the overall judgment, with my pal Monty. Megadeth they do what they do best, and, of course, shoots the best cartridges with the initial brace "The Threat Is Real" plus "Dystopia", but also the rest of the album sounds good.
