Al quarto disco in studio, mi sono deciso ad ascoltare Dario Brunori in arte Brunori Sas. Le mie prime impressioni sono state "Dalla, De Gregori, Battisti soprattutto, Daniele Silvestri, un po' di Battiato e pure di Vasco Brondi". C'è anche altro, ma so che è vagamente irrispettoso, e in fondo, il quarantenne calabrese non mi dispiace affatto: credo che la "stirpe" dei cantautori italiani ha bisogno di essere perpetrata, e Brunori sta facendo bene. Canzoni semplici, ma non semplicistiche: le influenze sono plurime, e gli arrangiamenti sono interessanti; i testi sono curiosi e interessanti, c'è un bel tocco surreale nonostante tratti costantemente di temi decisamente attuali. Bravo.
At the fourth studio album, I decided to listen to Dario Brunori aka Brunori Sas. My first impressions were "Dalla, De Gregori, Battisti above all, Daniele Silvestri, a bit of Battiato and also Vasco Brondi". There is more, but I know it is vaguely disrespectful, and in the end, the 40 years old from Calabria do not mind me at all: I think the ancestry of the Italian songwriters needs to be perpetrated, and Brunori is doing fine. Simple, but non-simplistic songs: the influences are multiple, and the musical arrangements are interesting; the lyrics are curious and interesting, there is a nice surreal touch despite being constantly drawn to very recent themes. Bravo.
