Finalmente (san Spotify) sono riuscito ad ascoltare il secondo disco del duo scozzese tutto femminile Honeyblood, che, come vi avevo già detto in occasione della tardiva rece del debutto, ha cambiato formazione, visto l'abbandono della batterista originale Shona McVicar, rimpiazzata da Cat Myers. Gustosissimo garage lo-fi pop punk, definitelo come vi pare, le due ragazze scrivono canzoncine deliziose, con strofe e ritornelli accattivanti, le loro voci si intrecciano in maniera meravigliosa, le chitarre grattano come piace a noi, la batteria picchia il giusto in modo semplice e lineare, insomma, il disco è un susseguirsi di belle canzoni che si piantano nelle orecchie e nella testa e non la lasciano più. C'è bisogno anche di musica così, come ben sapete. Mi auguro che durino.
Finally (thanks to Holy Spotify), I was able to listen to the second album of the all-female Scottish duo Honeyblood, which, as I said before on the late review of their debut, has changed the formation, given the abandonment of the original drummer/vocalist Shona McVicar, replaced by Cat Myers. Very tasty pop-punk lo-fi garage, define it as you'd like, of the two girls, that are capable to write delicious songs with captivating strophes and choruses, their voices marvelously intertwine, the guitars scratch as we like, the drums kicks in the right way, simple and straightforward, in short, the album is a succession of beautiful songs that it will stick it in your ears and in the head, and they do not leave it anymore. We also need music like this, as you well know. I hope they will last.
