Scorrendo la lista delle nuove uscite, mi sono imbattuto nel nome Gabrielle, e mi sono ricordato di quanto ho amato la sua voce, e soprattutto il suo singolo Give Me a Little More Time (1996, dal suo secondo disco Gabrielle), decidendo di ascoltare e parlarvi di questo suo sesto lavoro, dal titolo Under My Skin. In musica, ci sono le persone dotate di talento, a vari livelli. Louise Gabrielle Bobb, nata a Hackney, Londra, 48 anni fa, ha una voce accattivante che sa usare molto bene, ed ha pure il dono di saper scrivere canzoni, ispirate da un soul pop che può forse risultare un po' datato, canzoni che rimangono impresse al primo ascolto. Provare per credere, potreste scoprire un guilty pleasure.
Scrolling through the list of new releases, I came across the name Gabrielle, and I remembered how much I loved her voice, and especially her single Give Me a Little More Time (1996, from her second album Gabrielle), deciding to listen and tell you about this sixth work, entitled Under My Skin. In music, there are talented people, on various levels. Louise Gabrielle Bobb, born in Hackney, London, 48 years ago, has a captivating voice that she knows how to use very well, and she also has the gift of being able to write songs, inspired by a soul pop that may perhaps be a bit dated, songs that they remain impressed on first listening. Try to believe in it, you could discover a guilty pleasure.
