Il secondo disco, lo diceva anche Caparezza, è sempre il più difficile. C'è chi si aspetta troppo, soprattutto se il debutto è stato un fulmine a ciel sereno. E' esattamente il caso di Jeanne Galice, francese di Tolosa, giramondo nella sua infanzia al seguito del padre, che ha inglobato i sapori arabi e africani nella sua crescita musicale; il suo debutto Zanaka ci impressionò parecchio, e le prime impressioni di questo seguito, Souldier (gustoso gioco di parole come uno dei suoi singoli dal disco precedente, Dynabeat), non sono state così positive. Alla fine, però, non direi proprio che questo disco sia deludente, al contrario.La ragazza prosegue su una strada coraggiosa, mescolando una quantità enorme di influenze, e la definizione di M.I.A. francese non è per niente sbagliata. I testi non sono mai stupidi, e la freschezza, unità allo splendido mix di influenze, è delizioso.
The second album, Caparezza also said, is always the most difficult. There are those who expect too much, especially if the debut was a bolt from the blue.
