Quarto album in studio per Jessica Ellen Cornish nota anche come Jesse J; progetto ambizioso in quattro parti, diciamo quattro EP usciti in quattro date diverse (dal 22 al 25 maggio 2018), ognuno composto di quattro canzoni. Di getto, la battuta che mi sono fatto è stata che l'avevo lasciata che voleva essere Pink, e d'improvviso scopro che è diventata Joss Stone. Il disco, per riassumere, è molto meno pop rock, e molto più RNB, seppur supportata da tutta l'elettronica possibile, per sconfinare a volte perfino nel jazz; il tema è ovviamente il girl o female power, quindi ammirevole, ma la sequela dei pezzi non mi ha convinto granché, anche se lungi da dire che il disco, nella sua interezza, è brutto. Un po' come vi ho detto pochi giorni fa a proposito dell'ultimo disco di Ariana Grande, un disco che decisamente non rimarrà nella storia.

Joking, the joke that I made was that I had left her that she wanted to be Pink, and suddenly I find out she has become Joss Stone. The album, to sum up, is much less pop rock, and much more RNB, although supported by all the electronics possible, sometimes even trespassing into jazz; the theme is obviously the girl or female power, so admirable, but the following of the tracks did not convince me much, although far from saying that the record, in its entirety, is ugly. A little as I told you a few days ago about the last album of Ariana Grande, a record that definitely will not remain in history.
