E quindi, anche per me stesso. 6ix9ine, all'anagrafe Daniel Hernandez, è una delle punte di diamante del mumble rap (anche SoundCloud rap), letteralmente borbottio, per l'incomprensibilità dei testi e il modo strascicato di rappare dei protagonisti. Un soggettino mica da ridere: nato nel '96 a Bushwick, Brooklyn, da madre messicana e padre portoricano, espulso da scuola verso i 14 anni, il padre viene assassinato nel 2009 e lui si ritrova a fare lavoretti vari, tra i quali vendere marijuana per supportare la madre. Si presume che abbia venduto anche eroina, è rimasto coinvolto in una brutta storia (quando aveva 17 anni) di sesso con una 13enne (video poi messi online), è accusato di aver soffocato un 16enne, è indagato perché uno dei rapper con i quali ha imbastito una faida verbale è stato aggredito con armi da fuoco, pochi mesi fa è stato rapito, picchiato e rapinato, rischia di andare in carcere per tutta una serie di sentenze che sono in attesa di essere giudicate. Detto tutto ciò, il suo flow decisamente prepotente, e spesso punteggiato da spari, è intrigante. Si distingue per i capelli e la grill dentaria multicolore, i video a cartoni animanti, e naturalmente, testi decisamente vietati ai minori.
