Massimo rispetto per Beck Hansen, che molto ha dato alla musica, quindi non userò l'ormai classica battuta-simbolo di Alex Drastico / Antonio Albanese ("bravo molto bravo... poi dopo un po'...), ma l'impressione che si ricava da questo recente Hyperspace, è che sicuramente, Beck non si sia fermato, stia ancora cercando qualcosa di nuovo, ma per il momento non sia particolarmente né ispirato, né fortunato. Affidandosi a Pharrell (Williams of course) dimostra che probabilmente anche la parabola fortunata di Pharrell sia ormai discendente: il risultato è un disco che non lascerà il segno, dove il suo (di Beck) classico alt rock di qualità si intreccia con RNB, hip hop e autotune, senza riuscire a scrivere tracce indimenticabili.
Maximum respect for Beck Hansen, who has given much to music, so I will not use the now classic joke of Alex Drastico / Antonio Albanese ("good, very good ... then after a while ...), but the impression that derives from this recent Hyperspace, is that surely, Beck has not stopped, is still looking for something new, but for the moment he is not particularly inspired, nor lucky. Relying on Pharrell (Williams of course) shows that probably even the lucky parable of Pharrell is now descending: the result is an album that will not leave its mark, where his (Beck's) classic alt rock of quality is intertwined with RNB, hip hop and autotune, without being able to write unforgettable tracks.
