Prosegue, con questo terzo lavoro, il percorso che mi auguravo, verso una maggiore caratterizzazione della loro personalità musicale, per la band di Edinburgo, Scozia. Se potevamo accostarli a Baroness (non solo per la cover di Etemen Aenka) e ai Mastodon, stavolta si possono apprezzare persino riferimenti ai Tool; il cantato in growl viene usato con parsimonia e quanto basta per valorizzare parti già robuste, e insomma, questo terzo album non è niente male nel campo sludge/post-metal.
With this third work, the path I hoped for continues towards a greater characterization of their musical personality for the band from Edinburgh, Scotland. If we could compare them to Baroness (not only for the Etemen Aenka cover) and Mastodon, this time we can even appreciate references to Tool; the growl singing is used sparingly and just enough to enhance already robust parts, and in short, this third album is not bad at all in the sludge/post-metal field.
