Il terzo album della band di Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a livello di liriche ci ricorda che siamo sull'orlo dell'abisso, e su questo possiamo essere d'accordo. A livello musicale, la band continua a sembrare fuori controllo: mettere insieme alt-rock, sludge metal, il lato grezzo del grunge, e un'attitudine punk, può dare questa impressione. Io preferisco pensare che non sia così, che questi ragazzi siano consci di quello che fanno, che suonano, e che ascoltare questo disco sia un viaggio interessante, e un po' fuori di testa.
Lyrically, the third album from this Oklahoma City band reminds us that we are teetering on the edge of the abyss—something we can all agree on. Musically, the band continues to sound out of control; blending alt-rock, sludge metal, the raw edge of grunge, and a punk attitude can certainly create that impression. I prefer to think otherwise—that these guys know exactly what they’re doing and playing, and that listening to this record is an interesting, slightly unhinged journey.
