Quarto album per Mykki Blanco, una sorta di tuffo nelle sonorità dance anni '80, ma estremamente ricercato. Limitare la sua musica al campo dell'hip-hop non ha senso: qua dentro c'è un'infinità di influenze, teoricamente inconciliabili. Eppure, ci riesce. Se avete voglia di sfide, date un ascolto a questo disco: ad un certo punto, vi ritroverete a scuotere il culo (molto probabilmente, sul pezzo che ho tradotto per il titolo del post).
This is Mykki Blanco’s fourth album—a sort of dive into 80s dance sounds, yet one that is incredibly sophisticated. Pigeonholing their music as hip-hop makes no sense; the record is packed with a multitude of influences that, in theory, shouldn't go together. And yet, it works. If you’re up for a challenge, give this album a listen: at some point, you’ll find yourself shaking your ass (most likely to the track I used for the post’s title).
