Keraily - Atomikyla (2016)

Oggi invece parliamo di questa particolarissima band finlandese di Tampere, qui al secondo disco. Potrebbe essere un progetto collaterale, visto che nella formazione a quattro troviamo Juho Vanhanen (chitarra, voce) degli Oranssi Pazuzu, insieme a Vesa Ajomo (chitarra, voce) e Jukka Ramanen (batteria) dei Dark Buddha Rising, ma, a detta di molti, è invece una ottima sintesi dei diversi indirizzi delle due band.
Il disco è composto da sole tre tracce, Katkos, di quasi 18 minuti, Risteily (oltre 9) e Pakoputki (quasi 7), che trasportano l'ascoltatore in una dimensione che parte dal black metal, attraversa la psichedelia, attinge dal free jazz, e naturalmente non dimentica le atmosfere demoniache, nell'uso della voce "alla Linda Blair ne L'Esorcista" (una definizione che amo usare, quando ce n'è bisogno, perché a mio parere rende l'idea, e rende preparati).
Insomma, siamo di fronte, come avrete certamente intuito, ad una band che fa musica certamente non per tutti i palati, ma decisamente alla ricerca di un'originalità spiccata.



Today we talk about this unique Finnish band, from Tampere, here on the second album. It could be a side project, as in the line up of four we find Juho Vanhanen (guitar, vocals) of Oranssi Pazuzu, along with Vesa Ajomo (guitar, vocals) and Jukka Ramanen (drums) of the Dark Buddha Rising, but, according to many, it is instead a good summary of the different direction of the two bands.
The album is composed of only three tracks, "Katkos", almost 18 minutes, "Risteily" (over 9) and "Pakoputki" (almost 7), carrying the listener into a dimension that starts from black metal, through psychedelia, catching something from the free jazz , and of course do not forget the demonic atmosphere, the use of the voice like "Linda Blair in The Exorcist" (a definition that I love to use, when it needs, because in my opinion makes the idea, and makes to be prepared).
In short, we are facing, as you might have guessed, a band that makes music certainly not to everyone's taste, but definitely looking for remarkable originality.
