Non si può dire che ai texani The Sword manchi il coraggio, a questo punto della loro carriera: questo Low Country è, in pratica, la versione acustica di High Country del 2015. I pezzi sono 10, anziché i 15 di High Country, e sono stati registrati subito dopo il termine delle registrazioni dell'album "elettrico", ma prima dell'uscita ufficiale. Naturalmente, ci "mostrano" un lato folk/country/southern che era difficile da immaginare ai tempi del loro debutto Age of Winters, ma anche solo quando fecero uscire il loro capolavoro Warp Riders nel 2010. Di certo, da quando abbiamo cominciato a capire che non erano solo una band simil-Black Sabbath, dapprima con Apocryphon timidamente, poi decisamente con High Country, svolta di grande apertura al rock che probabilmente ha fatto perdere loro molti fan della prima ora, sappiamo che possiamo attenderci di tutto, quindi l'uscita di questo disco acustico non sorprende, e lascia affascinati, e incuriositi, per il loro prossimo lavoro: chissà cosa riusciranno ad inventarsi. Per quanto riguarda questa uscita, niente da eccepire, disco piacevole e interessante, perfino divertente.
