Eccoci a parlare brevemente dei Jinjer, band ucraina che accompagnerà gli Arch Enemy nelle loro date europee (meno quelle russe, immagino capirete il perché). Qui al secondo disco, il primo per l'etichetta Napalm Records, con una formazione a quattro che vede Yevgeny Abdyukhanov al basso, Vlad Ulasevich alla batteria, Roman Ibrahhalilov alla chitarra, e Tatyana Shmaylyuk alla voce. Proprio la versatilità della voce di Tatyana, permette alla band, che di base pratica un djent piuttosto tecnico, di sperimentare incursioni in altri generi, cosa piuttosto importante per provare a non arenarsi in un songwriting troppo omogeneo e ripetitivo. Il risultato è ancora acerbo, ma chissà, se i ragazzi sono stati abbastanza bravi ad uscire dall'Ucraina ed affacciarsi sulla scena internazionale, potrebbero essere altrettanto bravi a riuscire nella ricerca di un minimo di originalità.
Here we are briefly talking about the Jinjer, a Ukrainian band that will accompany Arch Enemy on their European dates (less Russian ones, I guess you will understand why). Here is the second record, the first one for the Napalm Records label, with a four-seater line-up, that sees Yevgeny Abdyukhanov on bass, Vlad Ulasevich on drums, Roman Ibrahhalilov on guitar, and Tatyana Shmaylyuk on vocals. It's the versatility of Tatyana's voice allows the band, which basically practices a djent, rather technical, to experience incursions into other genres, which is rather important to try not to stick in the mud of a too homogeneous and repetitive songwriting. The result is still green, but who knows if the guys were good enough to leave Ukraine and look over the international scene, they could be just as good at finding a minimum of originality.
