Lo so, a molti, Vinicio non sta simpatico. Posso capirlo. Ma c'è poco da fare: in Italia, pochi sanno fare musica come lui. Undicesimo disco in studio, dove, come al solito ma con un costante innalzamento dell'asticella, Capossela e i musicisti di cui si circonda, dipingono e raccontano 14 piccole storie a cavallo tra l'attualità, la satira, il sovrannaturale e il mito, intrecciando parole e immagini (come al solito, i testi evocano visioni), così come intrecciano un'infinità di influenze musicali lontane ma tutte mediterranee, in un trionfo quasi barocco di note. Ripeto, c'è sicuramente chi non lo sopporta, io lo adoro ancora oggi, e ringrazio che esista.
I know, to many, Vinicio is not nice. I can understand it. But there is little to do: in Italy, few know how to make music like him. Eleventh studio record, where, as usual but with a constant raising of the bar, Capossela and the musicians he surrounds himself with, paint and tell 14 small stories, suspended between the current events, satire, the supernatural and myth, intertwining words and images (as usual, the lyrics evoke visions), just as they weave an infinity of distant but all Mediterranean musical influences, in an almost baroque triumph of notes. I repeat, surely there are those who cannot stand him, I love it still today, and I thank him for existing.
