Mi sbaglierò, ma a me pare proprio che il duo composto da Tom Rowlands e Ed Simons, sappiano ancora perfettamente come far muovere i culi. Il disco apparentemente suona come se fossimo qualche anno indietro, eppure la ricerca non si è fermata, e, tra citazioni di Vangelis e dance incalzante (a tratti), c'è pure molto soul, che a volte emerge, altre volte rimane sottotraccia. Ha, inoltre dalla sua, un messaggio di fondo, portato avanti dai testi rarefatti e dal titolo stesso del disco, No Geography, positivo e tollerante. A questo punto sono curioso di (ri)vederli dal vivo, dopo moltissimi anni: l'occasione si presenterà in Novembre.
I may be wrong, but it seems to me that the duo formed by Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, still know perfectly how to make asses move. The album apparently sounds like we were a few years back, yet the search did not stop, and, among quotations from Vangelis and fast-paced dance (at times), there is also a lot of soul, which sometimes emerges, sometimes remains undercurrent. The album also has a basic message, as another very good thing, carried out by the rarefied lyrics and by the title, No Geography, positive and tolerant. At this point I am curious to see them live again, after many years: the occasion will be next November.
