14 anni. Tanti ne sono passati dal precedente eMOTIVe. Ricezione iniziale tiepida, ma alla lunga, ancora un disco, come già dissi a proposito proprio del precedente, superbo. Meno chitarre, più elettronica, molto pianoforte. Billy Howerdel scrive tutte le musiche, Maynard James Keenan tutti i testi. Atmosfere crepuscolari per riflessioni criptiche, ma non troppo, sulla natura dell'esistenza, e su come siamo ridotti. Derive addirittura jazz, arrangiamenti perfetti e voce impeccabile. Canzoni bellissime. Invito chi, come me, di primo acchito ha storto il naso, a riprendere il disco in questione e ad ascoltarselo con attenzione.
14 years. So many have passed from the previous eMOTIVe. Initial reception not so warm, but in the long run, still a record, as I already said about the previous, superb. Less guitars, more electronics, a lot of piano. Billy Howerdel writes all the music, Maynard James Keenan all the lyrics. Crepuscular atmospheres for cryptic reflections, but not too much, on the nature of existence, and on how we are reduced. It even drifts toward jazz, perfect musical arrangements and impeccable voice. Beautiful songs. I invite those who, like me, at first glance have turned their noses, to resume the record in question and listen to it carefully.
