E' impressionante pensare che Everlast, nella sua versione blues/folk, sia arrivato al nono album, che il primo sia stato 36 anni fa (Forever Everlasting), e che ancora oggi, per spiegare di chi si parla quando si parla di Everlast, alla maggior parte delle persone, si debba dire "quello di Jump Around". Quisquilie. L'ennesimo disco di Whitey è divertente, caldo, in qualche passaggio pure appassionato, semplice e diretto. Ogni tanto, ci vuole. Provatelo, senza preconcetti.
It is striking to think that Everlast—in his blues/folk incarnation—has reached his ninth album, that the first (*Forever Everlasting*) came out 36 years ago, and yet, to explain to most people who Everlast is, one still has to say "the guy who did 'Jump Around'." But that’s a minor detail. Whitey’s latest record is fun, warm, at times even impassioned, and simple and straightforward. Sometimes, that’s just what you need. Give it a listen—without any preconceptions.
