Quarto album per la cantante, chitarrista e compositrice inglese, che seguo da un po', come sapete, e che, se inizialmente era stata frettolosamente inserita nella categoria death gospel, è riuscita a crearsi una nicchia indefinibile, ma decisamente apprezzabile. Non è metal ma lo richiama moltissimo, e anche questo disco contiene melodie molto belle, composizioni invidiabili, e un'atmosfera dolente e affascinante.
This is the fourth album from the English singer, guitarist, and composer—an artist I’ve been following for some time, as you know. Although initially hastily pigeonholed into the "death gospel" genre, she has managed to carve out a niche for herself that defies easy definition yet is undeniably impressive. It isn't metal, though it strongly evokes the genre; like her previous work, this record features beautiful melodies, enviable songwriting, and an atmosphere that is both haunting and captivating.
