Ricostruzione attenta dei fatti e dell'inchiesta che ne è seguita, che non risolve, ma lascia moltissimi dubbi.

La sua squadra riesce a raccogliere telefonate (alcune davvero agghiaccianti, ascoltate col senno di poi), documenti e testimonianze, che ci restituiscono in quadro triste, dove gli errori solo palesi. La bravura del narratore crea il pathos necessario per dare al tutto profondità ed empatia.

As the last move of the year 2024, Pablo Trincia reconstructs the tragedy of the Rigopiano avalanche. Podcast in eight episodes released in September 2024, and TV series released on Sky in November. Il podcast di Cecilia Sala, giovanissima (non ancora 30enne) giornalista anche inviata di guerra, corrispondente di diverse testate e apparsa in alcuni programmi TV, è quello che mi ha convinto ad abbandonare Storie di geopolitica, per motivi vari, ma soprattutto perché gli argomenti trattati sono gli stessi, e il taglio mi piace di più. Detto questo, ammiro moltissimo questa ragazza, mi piace che il suo podcast sia divenuto un appuntamento giornaliero fisso, e le auguro tanto successo nel suo lavoro nel futuro.

EDIT: ovviamente, ho scritto questo prima della notizia del suo arresto in Iran, e adesso, la frase di chiusura suona quasi di malaugurio. Di certo non me lo sarei mai immaginato, ma fa parte dei rischi del suo lavoro. Speriamo in una veloce e positiva risoluzione.

Nonostante quello che pensa Wired, questo Sangue loro è forse il podcast di Trincia che mi è piaciuto più di tutti. Un'idea intrigante, raccontare, contestualizzando anche storicamente, uno degli attentati del 1985, portati a termine da terroristi palestinesi ai danni di elementi simbolici rappresentanti Nazioni sostenitrici della causa Israeliana, mettendo pian piano a confronto uno degli esecutori, e la figlia di una delle vittime, raccontando anche il percorso susseguente, e le reciproche prese di coscienza. Nello specifico, l'attentato del 25 settembre del 1985, a Roma, alla sede della British Airways in via Bissolati. Estremamente emozionante, e ovviamente costruito impeccabilmente.

Paolo Colombo, storico milanese e docente alla Bocconi, ci racconta il problema africano, lo sfruttamento di quelle terre e quello del razzismo a livello mondiale verso le persone con quella origine, prendendo spunto dalla storia travagliata di questo Paese dell'Africa Centrale. Un percorso che si snoda attraverso otto episodi, ben argomentato e perfino illuminante.

Paolo Colombo, a Milan-born historian and professor at Bocconi University, tells us about the African problem, the exploitation of those lands and that of racism at a global level towards people of that origin, taking inspiration from the troubled history of this Central African country. L'ottimo Savelli ha avuto questa pensata: visto che "la guerra è tornata di attualità", rileggiamo una delle battaglie più atroci per il popolo italiano. Facendosi aiutare da Trincia, che alla voce narrante si fa accompagnare anche da altri, ricostruisce la battaglia con l'aiuto di alcune lettere inviate dai protagonisti. Angosciante, illuminante.

Pablo Trincia stavolta ci racconta, per l'ennesima volta, ma come solo lui sa fare, un caso di omicidio ormai storico, tutto italiano, un caso di insabbiamenti, incompetenze, non solo italiane, e con un assassino quantomeno strano. Dalle otto puntate del podcast è scaturito poi un documentario TV di quattro episodi. Per me è sempre più Trincia-mania.

Molto attivo sui social, è bravo soprattutto a fustigare i politici che si coprono di ridicolo proprio con un uso totalmente sconsiderato degli stessi social. Il titolo, infatti, si ispira proprio a questo: ma è possibile che non abbiano, non dico un social media manager, ma anche uno straccio di amico che dica loro, amorevolmente, che stanno facendo una figura di merda, postando alcuni contenuti? Divertente, così come lo spettacolo teatrale omonimo, e anche spunto di parecchie riflessioni.

Ed è, come sempre, uno spettacolo uditivo. Avvincente e bravissimo, come sempre.

Di Pablo Trincia parleremo un po' alla volta. Personalmente, questo è stato il primo podcast a sua cura che ho ascoltato, spinto da una collega, e quello che mi ha convinto ad approfondire il più possibile i suoi lavori. Come da titolo, si tratta di un reportage contestualizzato, volendo anche romanzato, ma basato su fatti, documenti, ed interviste a protagonisti, sul famosissimo naufragio della nave Costa Concordia. Emozionante ma anche molto equilibrato, permette di rivivere l'evento, e di riflettere a fondo. Davvero bello.

In questo podcast, che va avanti da tempo, racconta e analizza storie di soggetti tra i più disparati, tutti vittime (appunto) di manipolazione, concentrandosi sui meccanismi che rendono vulnerabili, quelli che la innescano, e quelli che fanno si che sia difficile uscirne. Quasi inutile dirlo, ma anche questo è molto interessante.

Sicuramente schierato, e non adatto a chi "eh ma non si può più dire niente", o quelli "eh ma basta con questo fascismo", ispirato dal libro omonimo di Civati, lo stesso Civati, prima con Daniele Soffiati (si, lo stesso di DOI Denominazione di Origine Inventata), nella prima stagione, poi con Laura Campiglio, nella seconda, anche lei scrittrice e giornalista, ci accompagnano in un viaggio nella sottolineatura di tanti piccoli e grandi segnali di fascismo e di regime. Schierato, ma non inutile.

Ho spesso pensato che Mario Calabresi fosse una persona meravigliosa, almeno da quello che traspare sentendolo parlare e dare opinioni in genere, e il podcast originale, dove ogni volta approfondisce storie di persone che hanno o hanno fatto qualcosa di speciale, me lo ha confermato. Un approccio delicato, gentile (tema che tornerà anche in un suo altro podcast), toccante. Poco prima delle ultime elezioni statunitensi, il podcast ha avuto uno spin off, ed ha approfondito questo argomento, insieme all'esperto Marco Bardazzi, con buoni risultati.

Da qualche tempo, e c'è da dire finalmente, il prof. Barbero conduce un proprio podcast. Coadiuvato dall'esperto Davide Savelli, laurea magistrale in Mass media e politica, autore radio e TV, e adesso Head of Chora Storia a Chora Media, che raccoglie le domande del pubblico e le pone al professore, che risponde con la sua solita passione, quella che riesce a coinvolgere non solo i curiosi. Non riesco a togliermi dalla testa che una parte del merito vada al tenace Fabrizio Mele, del quale abbiamo già parlato, e che continua a raccogliere le lezioni del professore: in qualche modo, ha stimolato lo stesso e chi gli sta intorno, ad organizzare un podcast come si deve. Episodi da 15/20 minuti, estremamente godibile.

Tintoria è un podcast comico fatto di interviste, ogni episodio, i due conduttori, due comici, intervistano, tra il serio e il faceto (come si usava dire molto tempo fa), una celebrità, diciamo così. Comici, nella maggior parte dei casi, ma anche altro (cantanti, registi, podcaster, autori televisivi, fumettisti). Confesso che fino a prima di ascoltare il podcast, non avevo idea di chi fossero Tinti e Rapone, ma ho imparato ad apprezzare la loro comicità, diversa, che si "incastra" piuttosto bene. Al tempo stesso, devo ammettere che la durata media di ogni episodio (sulle due ore), mi ha scoraggiato dall'ascoltare tutti gli episodi, per cui mi sono limitato e mi limito tutt'ora ad ascoltare esclusivamente gli episodi con personaggi che mi interessano.

Vera Gheno, sociolinguista con dottorato di ricerca in linguistica italiana, autrice di saggi ed attivista, traduttrice e ricercatrice, conduce da alcune stagioni questo interessante podcast, spesso molto schierato, ovviamente partendo dall'uso (spesso a sproposito) delle parole, non solo italiane. Attenta al sessismo e all'inclusività, ammetto che ascoltandola, c'è molto da imparare e da riflettere.

Vera Gheno, sociolinguist with a PhD in Italian linguistics, author of essays and activist, translator and researcher, has been hosting this interesting podcast for a few seasons, often very partisan, obviously starting from the use (often inappropriate) of words, not only Italian ones. Attentive to sexism and inclusiveness, I admit that listening to her, there is a lot to learn and reflect on.

Alberto Grandi, professore di Economia e Management all'Università di Parma, che qualche tempo fa fece andare su tutte le furie Matteo Salvini per una sua intervista su The Financial Times, e Daniele Soffiati, scrittore, dopo aver pubblicato, tra il 2019 e il 2020, il libro Denominazione di origine inventata. Le bugie del marketing sui prodotti tipici italiani, hanno deciso di avviare anche l'omonimo podcast, arrivato alla quarta stagione. Si parla non solo di cucina e di prodotti tipici, ma soprattutto, di storia del cibo, di come si siano mitizzate (e inventate) le origini di piatti, prodotti e tradizioni. Vengono trattate tutte le sfaccettature socio-politiche, vene fatta luce sulla storia di alimenti, bevande, metodi di conservazione e trasporto, commercializzazione, pubblicità, diffusione, origini... Insomma, sono rimasto affascinato moltissimo dal podcast, dai due conduttori, dalle loro spiegazioni e convinzioni, diventandone un durissimo sostenitore.
