Al settimo disco in studio, mi sono deciso ad ascoltare per la prima volta un disco della band di Las Vegas, Nevada, per intero. Evidentemente era il momento giusto, perché il disco, tamarro, prevedibile, ruffiano, è entrato nella mia heavy rotation in maniera prepotente. Partono dall'heavy metal classico, fanno tesoro del nu metal e del groove metal, scrivono pezzi dal ritornello orecchiabile e si lasciano andare anche a diverse ballad. Nel disco sono presenti anche due cover, di provenienze diversissime: Blue on Black di Kenny Wayne Sheperd, e Gone Away degli Offspring. Cantato robusto, sezione ritmica senza fronzoli, ritmiche potenti e assoli interessanti. Niente di nuovo, ma tutto quello che ci vuole, ogni tanto, per chi ama questo genere.
At the seventh record in the studio, I decided to listen for the first time a record of the band of Las Vegas, Nevada, in full. Evidently it was the right time, because the album, raffish, predictable, toady, went straight in my heavy rotation in a bully manner. They start from classic heavy metal, they treasure nu metal and groove metal, they write songs with catchy refrain and they also let themselves go to several ballads. In the album there are also two covers, of very different origins: Blue on Black by Kenny Wayne Sheperd, and Gone Away by Offspring. Sturdy singing, no frills rhythm section, powerful guitar rhythm, and interesting solos. Nothing new, but all that it takes, sometimes, for those who love this genre.
