Altra scoperta in ritardo, questa band di Bristol, UK, che mi è stata segnalata da un collega belga, è davvero una band immancabile per chi come noi, ama la musica brutale con criterio. Gli Idles, che mi dicono essere devastanti dal vivo, qui al secondo disco (uscito a fine agosto del 2018), sono gioia per le orecchie, quelle che hanno amato il rock in tutte le sue forme; ci si sente il punk, la new wave, l'hardcore punk ed il krautrock, canzoni violente, brutali, e al tempo stesso dannatamente ben scritte, con ritornelli spesso indimenticabili e testi molto interessanti. Vi scongiuro, ascoltateli.
Another late discovery, this band from Bristol, UK, which was suggested to me by a Belgian colleague, is really a must-have band for those of us who love brutal music with wisdom. The Idles, who tell me to be devastating live, here at their second album (released at the end of August 2018), are a delight by the ears, especially for those who loved rock in all its forms; you can hear, in their music, the punk, the new wave, the hardcore punk and the krautrock. Violent, brutal, and at the same time damn well written songs, with often unforgettable refrains and very interesting lyrics. I beg you, listen to them.
