Il tredicesimo disco in studio (escludendo Evinta) per la band di Bradford UK, altra band considerata precorritrice nel genere doom gothic, ne denota l'ottima salute. Trenta anni di attività, i due membri fondatori Stainthorpe (voce) e Craighan (chitarra) sono sulla cinquantina di anni d'età (i membri più recenti sono più giovani), ma anche questo disco, seppur meno elastico e coraggioso rispetto a quello dei "compari" Paradise Lost, si lascia ascoltare che è un piacere, e dimostra che anche questo è un genere, o sottogenere, che può portare lunga vita, se suonato con passione.
The thirteenth studio album (excluding Evinta) for the Bradford UK band, another band considered a forerunner in the doom gothic genre, shows its excellent health. Thirty years of activity, the two founding members Stainthorpe (vocals) and Craighan (guitar) are in their fifties (the most recent members are younger), but also this album, albeit less elastic and courageous than that of the "buddies" Paradise Lost, let itself be heard with pleasure, and shows that this too is a genre, or subgenre, that can bring long life, if played with passion.
