Instancabile, il chitarrista nonché fondatore dei Creed e degli AlterBridge, un chitarrista che passerà sicuramente alla storia come un "solista timido" (mi riferisco alla sua estrema parsimonia nell'eseguire assoli all'interno delle canzoni), Mark Tremonti, qui, con la band che porta il suo cognome anche alla voce, arriva al sesto album in studio. Di lui e di conseguenza, della sua band "omonima", sappiamo già tutto: il genere è un heavy metal moderno, fortemente influenzato dal thrash e dallo speed, la ricerca melodica è a volte esasperata, le melodie spesso sono stucchevoli, l'innovazione e la ricerca di qualcosa che sorprenda l'ascoltatore è pari a zero. Per i metalhead di estrazione classica o, diciamo, old style per non dire vecchi-di-merda, l'ascolto può rivelarsi piacevole, ma non richiede la reiterazione.
Tireless, the guitarist and founder of Creed and AlterBridge, a guitarist who will surely go down in history as a "shy soloist" (I'm referring to his extreme parsimony in playing solos within songs), Mark Tremonti, here, with the band that also bears his surname on the vocals, arrives at the sixth studio album. We already know everything about him and consequently, about his "homonymous" band: the genre is a modern heavy metal, strongly influenced by thrash and speed, the melodic research is sometimes exasperated, the melodies are often cloying, the innovation and the search for something that surprises the listener is equal to zero. For metalheads of classical extraction or, let's say, old style not to say old-as-shit, listening can be pleasant, but does not require reiteration.
