Album di debutto per Anaïs Oluwatoyin Estelle Marinho, nome d'arte Arlo Parks (a suo dire, ispirandosi a King Krule e Frank Ocean, un nome composto e fico), cantante compositrice e pure poetessa, dopo alcuni singoli ed un paio di EP. Nata a Parigi da genitori di origini nigeriane e ciadiane, impara il francese prima dell'inglese, cresce ad Hammersmith, West London ed ha appena 20 anni. Liriche molto belle, canzoni ben congegnate, e una voce che non ti aspetti (in alcuni passaggi, ma questo è un "problema" mio, mi ha ricordato la migliore Nina Persson dei Cardigans). Tenetela d'occhio e ricordatevi dove l'avete sentita nominare.
Debut album for Anaïs Oluwatoyin Estelle Marinho, stage name Arlo Parks (according to her, inspired by King Krule and Frank Ocean, a compound and cool name), singer, songwriter and poet, after some singles and a couple of EPs. She was born in Paris of Nigerian and Chadian parents, she learns French before English, she grows up in Hammersmith, West London and she is just 20 years old. Very beautiful lyrics, well crafted songs, and an unexpected voice (in some passages, but this is my "problem", reminded me of the best Nina Persson of the Cardigans). Keep an eye on it and remember where you heard her mentioned.
