Se è vero che i Colle der Fomento, formatisi nel 1994 (per un paio d'anni ne ha fatto parte anche Piotta), sono una delle band hip hop italiane storiche, va da sé che anche l'hip hop italiano ha ormai una lunga tradizione. Nonostante ciò, questo ottimo Adversus, uscito nel novembre del 2018, è "solo" il quarto disco dei romani, fatto che probabilmente dimostra la difficoltà di fare hip hop di un certo tipo (conscious hip hop). Detto questo, e come anticipato, il disco è davvero bello, ed è un piacere ascoltarlo. Basi che occhieggiano fino al jazz e al folk, una varietà che spiazza, sorprende e intriga, oserei dire raffinate, testi più riflessivi che militanti, il solito mix di italiano e romanesco per un bel flow avvolgente. Belle, e direi mirate, le collaborazioni: Kaos One (Sergio Leone, Miglia e promesse), Bassi Maestro (Nostargia), Roy Paci (Polvere). Un disco degno di altri palcoscenici.
If it is true that the Colle der Fomento, formed in 1994 (for a couple of years Piotta also took part), are one of the historic Italian hip hop bands, it goes without saying that even the Italian hip hop has a long tradition. Despite this, this excellent Adversus, released in November 2018, is "only" the fourth album of the Romans, a fact that probably shows the difficulty of making hip hop of a certain type (conscious hip hop). That said, and as anticipated, the record is really nice, and it's a pleasure to listen to it. Bases that look up to jazz and folk, a variety that displaces, surprises and intrigues, I would dare to say refined, lyrics more reflective that militant, the usual mix of Italian and Roman dialect, for a nice enveloping flow. Good, and I would say targeted, collaborations: Kaos One (Sergio Leone, Miglia e promesse), Bassi Maestro (Nostargia), Roy Paci (Polvere). A record worthy of other stages.
