Ottavo disco (oppure sesto, se si considerano i tre Body Talk del 2010 un disco unico) per la 39enne di Stoccolma, una delle regine dell'electro-pop odierno. Conosciuta tramite il fatto che alcune musiciste che suonano generi diversi hanno fatto cover di suoi pezzi, segno evidente che il talento c'è, c'è da notare, con questo disco, uno spostamento verso musica ballabile stratificata ma rarefatta, decisamente personale seppur appoggiata a qualche cliché da dancefloor, un disco breve con una maggioranza di canzoni ottime, e, a mio modesto parere, qualche riempitivo non all'altezza (penso soprattutto a Between the Lines), con testi personali (che raccontano anche della sua ultima relazione, passata attraverso una separazione e, ultimamente, un riavvicinamento) e un marchio di fabbrica inconfondibile. Sarò ripetitivo, ma da questa terra, la Svezia, anche in campo dance-pop vengono fuori le proposte più di classe, perché a differenza di altri paesi, la musica popolare è considerata a tutti gli effetti, cultura.
Eighth album (or sixth, if you consider the three Body Talk of 2010 a single record) for the 39 year old from Stockholm, one of the queens of today's electro-pop. Known (by me) by the fact that some female musicians who play different genres have made covers of her songs, a clear sign that the she got the talent, we should note, with this record, a shift to danced music stratified but rarefied, decidedly personal although supported by some dancefloor's clichés, a short disc with a majority of excellent songs, and, in my humble opinion, some fillers not up to par (I think especially to Between the Lines), with personal lyrics (which also tell of her last relationship, passed through a separation and, lately, a rapprochement) and an unmistakable trademark. I will be repetitive, but from this land, Sweden, even in the dance-pop field come out the most classy proposals, because unlike other countries, popular music is considered in all respects, culture.
