Settimo disco per gli olandesi Legion of the Damned, attivi fin dal lontano (ormai) 1992, con il nome Occult (cinque dischi sotto quel nome). Nonostante l'anzianità, la band suona un death/thrash metal come se fossimo ancora agli inizi degli anni '90, o alla fine degli '80. Per qualcuno, può pure essere un incentivo all'ascolto, sia chiaro. Per farla molto breve, potremmo definirli con un suono tra quello degli Slayer e quello dei Kreator, ovviamente con una produzione ed una registrazione degna dei tempi moderni. Nel 2019, questo è un disco al quale personalmente posso dedicare massimo due ascolti: però, ad essere onesto, mentre lo ascoltavo, mi sono ricordato molto chiaramente che (ancora) nei primi anni '90 questa era esattamente la musica che volevo suonare.
Seventh record for the Dutch band Legion of the Damned, active since far (by now) 1992, with the name Occult (five records under that name). Despite the seniority, the band plays a death/thrash metal as if we were still in the early 90s, or at the end of the 80s. For someone, it can also be an incentive to listen it, to be clear. To make it very short, we could define them with a sound between Slayer and Kreator, obviously with a production and a recording worthy of modern times. In 2019, this is a record to which I personally can dedicate a maximum of two round of listen, but to be honest, as I listened to it, I remembered very clearly that (again) in the early 90s this was exactly the music I wanted to play.
