Quinto album per Zach Bryan, oserei dire l'incarnazione dell'all american man (e autore di una americana che può essere definita persino alt-country) per motivi che potrete intuire dalla sua biografia, e che di recente si è distinto per aver ospitato sul palco una illustre sconosciuta che, nel giro di una nottata, si è ritrovata ad essere una celebrità (sto parlando di Haliey Welch). A questo giro non si risparmiano gli ospiti (Noeline Hofmann, John Moreland, John Mayer, anche produttore, e nientemeno che Bruce Springsteen), e neppure i semi-plagi (a parte Sandpaper, il pezzo dove duetta con Springsteen, che sembra una cover di I'm on Fire, The Way Back è quasi identica a Heaven di Bryan Adams), ma nonostante tutto questo, il disco è estremamente piacevole e ben fatto, e devo confessarvi che questo ragazzo comincia a rimanermi simpatico.
Fifth album for Zach Bryan, I dare say the embodiment of the all-American man (and author of an Americana that can even be defined as alt-country) for reasons that you can guess from his biography, and who recently stood out for having hosted on stage an illustrious stranger who, in the space of one night, found herself to be a celebrity (I'm talking about Haliey Welch). This round does not spare the guests (Noeline Hofmann, John Moreland, John Mayer, also a producer, and none other than Bruce Springsteen), nor the semi-plagiarisms (apart from Sandpaper, the track where he duets with Springsteen, which seems like a cover of I'm on Fire, The Way Back is almost identical to Bryan Adams' Heaven), but despite all of this, the album is extremely pleasant and well made, and I must confess that I'm starting to like this guy.
