Eppure, continua ad andare in tour, a comporre, a cantare. Basterebbe solo questo per capire di cosa stiamo parlando. Avevo sempre e solo sentito parlarne, l'avevo sentita citare da altri artisti, e quindi a questo giro, visto che c'è un nuovo album, mi sono deciso ad ascoltare miss Loretta Lynn née Webb, da Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, un luogo che non è catalogato neppure come villaggio, ma semplicemente una antica comunità di minatori di carbone. A dispetto dell'aspetto un po' spettrale, causato ovviamente dai lifting, la voce di questa leggenda del country statunitense pare inarrestabile, e il disco potrebbe essere una perfetta introduzione al genere per principianti. Anche perché le canzoni non sono tutte nuove: una buona parte sono nuove versioni di pezzi già pubblicati dalla stessa Lynn nel passato (Wouldn't It Be Great, God Makes No Mistakes, My Angel Mother, Don't Come Home a Drinkin', Darkest Day e la sua signature song per eccellenza, Coal Miner's Daughter). L'album è il terzo di una serie di cinque pianificati per essere registrati al Cash Cabin Studio di Hendersonville, Tennessee, ed è prodotto da una delle figlie di Loretta, Patsy Lynn Russell, e da John Carter Cash, l'unico figlio di Johnny e June Carter.

Yet, she continues to go on tour, to compose, to sing. This would be enough to understand what we are talking about. I had only ever heard of her, I heard her mentioned by other artists, and so this time, since there is a new album, I decided to listen to Miss Loretta Lynn née Webb, from Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, a place which is not even listed as a village, but simply an ancient community of coal miners. In spite of the somewhat ghostly appearance, obviously caused by facelifts, the voice of this American country legend seems unstoppable, and the record could be a perfect introduction to the beginner of this genre. Also because the songs are not all new: a good part are new versions of tracks already published by the same Lynn in the past (Wouldn't It Be Great, God Makes No Mistakes, My Angel Mother, Don't Come Home a Drinkin', Darkest Day and her signature song by excellence, Coal Miner's Daughter). The album is the third of a series of five scheduled to be recorded at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and is produced by one of Loretta's daughters, Patsy Lynn Russell, and John Carter Cash, Johnny's and June Carter only son.
