E' piuttosto curiosa la mia "conoscenza" con la ancor giovane (ha esordito giovanissima) rapper australiana praticamente "naturalizzata" statunitense (quasi metà della sua vita l'ha passata negli US): me la fece ascoltare mio nipote quando era ancora piccolo, e adesso lui non l'ascolta più, mentre io proseguo. Sfacciata e sboccata, trovo che il suo flow sia uno dei migliori, a livello femminile, e ogni volta mi stupisco di quanto sia americano il suo accento.
Nonostante il gran parlare che si fa su di lei, questo In My Defense è "solo" il suo secondo album, e, al netto delle rituali partecipazioni (Lil Yachty, Kash Doll, Stini, Juicy J), inanella, mi verrebbe da dire come al solito, una serie impressionante di singoli o potenziali singoli, accattivanti e sfacciati, come da suo marchio di fabbrica. Stranamente, una delle mie preferite in questo genere.
My "acquaintance" is rather curious with the still young (she started out very young) Australian rapper practically "naturalized" US (almost half of her life spent in the US): my nephew made me listen to her, when he was still a child, and now he no longer listens to her while I continue. Bold and foul-mouthed, I find her flow to be one of the best, on a female level, and every time I am amazed at how American her accent is. Despite the many chat about her, this In My Defense is "only" her second album, and, took it for grant it the ritual participations (Lil Yachty, Kash Doll, Stini, Juicy J), she is able to put in line, I would say as usual, an impressive series of hit, or potential hits, captivating and bold, as per her trademark. Strangely, one of my favorites in this kind of music.
